GCat-oxy (oxychlor cat)

Production of VCM is based on the cracking of C2H4Cl2, which in its turn is produced by two parallel processes, direct chlorination and oxychlorination

 

C2H4 + Cl2 → C2H4Cl2     (1

C2H4 + 2HCl + 1/2O2 → C2H4Cl2 + H2O      (2

 

A copper (Cu) based catalyst is normally used in oxychlorination process. Copper chloride (CuCl2) is used as catalyst in oxychlorination reaction of hydrocarbons. It can be used in fixed or fluidized bed reactors. GAHARCERAM provide different grades of oxychloronation catalysts for various operating conditions

GCat-Oxy Fix

GCat-Oxy Fix is greenish yellow promoted CuCl2 catalyst supported on hollow cylindrical shaped alumina. It is used for ethylene oxychlorination reaction for production of Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) in fixed bed reactors

 


 

GCat-Oxy 1000

It is light greenish yellow promoted CuCl2 catalyst supported on micro-spherical alumina powder. It is used for ethylene oxychlorination reaction for production of Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) in fluidized bed reactors. GCat-Oxy 1000 is suitable for Mitsui licensed plants

 


 

GCat-Oxy 1100

GCat-Oxy 1100 is used for ethylene oxychlorination reaction for production of Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) in fluidized bed reactors. It is suitable for Oxy and old licensed plants

 


 

GCat-Oxy 1200

GCat-Oxy 1200 is used for ethylene oxy chlorination reaction for production of Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) in fluidized bed reactors. It is suitable for Uhde and Oxy licensed plants.
