Arsine and phosphine removal

The hydrides of arsenic, phosphorus, and antimony are known to be sever catalyst poisons in a variety of processes, including the manufacture of propylene and polyethyelne. The purification of propylene and other olefin feed streams is particulary complicated by small difference between the boiling point of propylene and arsine which hampers arsine removal by fractionation. in order to provide the best catalytic activity of these catalysts, the feed olefin and any other hydrocarbon streams, such as comonomer streams, must be free of contaminantes that can be bond to the transitional metal groups on the catalyst. The metallocenes are extremely sensitive to arsine and phosphine with sensitivity to leveles in the part per bilion(PPb) level range

Effective for arsine and phosphine up to ppb
Short mass transfer zone (MTZ)
High stability in chemical and physical shocks

Adsorbents for Arsine & Phosphine

GSorb-810
It is a spherical cupper oxide adsorbent designed to remove arsine and phosphine from hydrocarbon streams. Gsorb-810 has high degree of macroporosity and optimized pore size distribution which gives a unique performance for removal of contamination

GSorb-820
Lead oxide active phase does not promote polymer formation, so it is especially suitable for streams containing acetylenes or dienes, which have a tendency to foul other types of guard bed materials. It is applicable for purification of hydrogen-rich gases, where other metal oxides (CuO or ZnO, etc) cannot be used due to their reactivity toward the hydrogen content in the gas stream.

GSorb-830
GSorb-830 is a tablet Cu-Zn based adsorbent that widely used for removal of arsine, phosphine and reactive sulfur compounds from liquid and gas hydrocarbon streams. It can effectivelly removed arsine and phosphine up to ppb levels from propylene, ethylene and other light hydrocarbons streams. The outstanding performance of GSorb-830 such as high crushing strength and extraordinarily high arsine and sulfur pick-up capacity made it a great adsorbent guard for polypropylene and other polymerization feed streams.
